The San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health held it's first Nursing Skills Fair on Feb. 23 at DBH Admin in San Bernardino. Nursing staff were invited to a day of learning about various medical topics including injections, quality management, documentation and training on Vivitrol, a prescription injectable medicine for opioid dependence and alcohol dependence. Nursing staff also had the opportunity to meet with presenters and their fellow peers across the department for an inspiring event.
"Thank you to all of the nursing team for supporting each other, being a part of our first ever Nursing Skills Fair, and for improving the mental health of the clients we serve in San Bernardino County," said DBH Nurse Manager Tricina Edwards. DBH Director Dr. Georgina Yoshioka and DBH Chief Psychiatric Officer Dr. Teresa Frausto also stopped by the Nursing Skills Fair to speak to staff.
