Consumer/Peer and Family Advocate Movement Training Please join us on Tuesday June 6, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. or June 13, 2023, from 9:30 -11:30 a.m. for the Consumer/Peer and Family Advocate Movement Training. This training provides an overview of the history of the Peer/ Consumer Family Movement from the Asylums leading to Recovery. We will also review Peer Certification in the State of California and Specifically San Bernardino County due to the passage of SB 803. This is presented by the Office of Consumer and Family Affairs and facilitated by Lauretta Ross and Jennifer Esparza. Training Location: Virtual via WebEx Course Objectives Upon completion of this training session, attendees will: • Be able to define the history of the Consumer/Peer and Family Advocate Movement • Be able to Identify the key elements of the Office of Consumer and Family Affairs (OCFA), Clubhouses and Consumer Evaluation Committee • Increase their knowledge of Senate Bill-SB 803’s Peer Specialist Certification and its implementation into the San Bernardino County system of care To register please visit www.training.reliaslearning.com.
