On Oct. 15 at 10:15 a.m., DBH will join millions of Californians in the largest earthquake drill ever - the Great California Shakeout! The goal of this activity is to reduce the impact of a major earthquake for you, your colleagues, and the community.
Though the drill will be slightly different this year, it will still be implemented. To ensure safety measures due to COVID-19, this year’s earthquake drill will NOT include a physical evacuation of department buildings. Instead, an Assaultive Behavior Drill will be disseminated to all employees, via DBH site Local Safety Coordinators, that will allow all staff, including those working from home, to participate. All staff should be prepared to Drop, Cover, and Hold On! and follow your assigned site’s Emergency Action Plan and the DBH Earthquake Procedure (SFT 7006). For questions call (909) 388-0875 or email [email protected].
