The Office of Disaster & Safety in partnership with Workforce Education and Training (WET) is happy to announce the American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR training for all DBH workforce. This training will be available on separate dates in morning and afternoon sessions:
Class sizes are limited, so please register early. Priority will be given to DBH clinical staff whom must certify for licensure purposes. All trainings will be held in person at one of the following locations, as noted in Relias: DBH Administration (Room 116) 303 E. Vanderbilt Way San Bernardino and Phoenix Community Counseling Ctr. 820 E. Gilbert St. San Bernardino BLS/CPR is a hands-on training and will require attendees to participate for the entire class session. Individual cleaning supplies and class-related PPE will be provided. Face masks will be required and social distancing will be encouraged. Individual CPR manikins and masks will be issued to each attendee for their own use and sterilization. Face masks must be removed periodically when performing certain CPR skills. Attendees will have to demonstrate competency in all instructed skills to receive credit. Significant demand for this training is expected. If you enroll and find yourself unable to attend, please unenroll in Relias as soon as possible. DBH staff may register in Relias.
